Limitations
The Tribunal is not obliged under RIPA to investigate conduct which occurred more than one year ago. If you would like the Tribunal to consider a complaint of conduct which occurred outside these timescales, you must provide an explanation for the delay in submitting your complaint.
The Tribunal can only consider such complaints or claims if they consider it reasonable to do so. They will therefore consider your explanation along with the details of your complaint/claim, and make a decision on whether it should be investigated.
If the Tribunal decide it is equitable to extend the time limit, you will be informed, and your complaint/claim will be investigated. If the Tribunal decide not to extend the time limit, you will be notified of this.
